WONDERING WHY

Health. The number one thing we for sure cannot control. Women forced to fight for survival, fading away ever so slighty. A friend, a sister, an aunt, a mother taken away from us abruptly with no given mercy.
1 in 78 of women have or will face the struggles of ovarian cancer. The fear hides behind our conscious like a horrifying game of hide and seek. It’s like the time stops and leaves us solely with unanswered questions. “Wondering why” is the name of my creation.
This special made artwork made by Maria Therese Persson is a linocut graphic printmaking design made in honor of the brave women living amongst us fighting for their lives. My dear sisters, this art work is dedicated to you!
Wondering why, life gets to be so unfair sometimes. Wondering why she must survive not live. Wondering why. Let my graphic print art be an honorary of the brave women taken away from us far too early.
With all my love and gratitude.

INSIDE THE ROSE

“The rose and the thorn, the sorrow and the gladness. All linked together” -Saadi. This special artwork created by Maria Therese Persson is a close up of one of the
most enchanting flowers in nature’s repertoire. This alluring portrayal of the flower most linked with feminism is an honorary tribute to the appealing women living amongst us in our every day lives. My art work is a love letter to the beautiful, unique, brave and bad-ass women struggling and dealing with surviving ovarian cancer and their courageous families behind them.
Like the rose, women are the origins of beauty and the symbol of love -a metaphorical illustrations which my creation greatly represents. I dedicate this
beautifully painted rose with love, sisterhood, admiration and my deepest respect to women whom I know have survived cancer.

“I’m sending you a rose of love”
